documentaries have never really disappeared from ITV.
However,
news in is that fabulous filmmaker Leslie Woodhead has been commissioned to make two documentaries for a themed season Visions of Britain, while John Pilger returns with a new documentary for the channel.
There's another new addition to the online docu-family with ex-CBS exec Peter Hamilton's blog
DocumentaryTelevision.com, which will initially focus on what networks pay for programming - handy to know if you're pitching a low-budget DV-shot doc to Discovery for instance...
